10 Days - Tanzania Wildlife and Beach Safaris

Explore Tanzania wildlife, beautiful country side scenery and white pristine beach in northern and southern side. We taking Tanzania wildlife and beach safaris. The excitement that come with such a safari will lust for long.

Day 1 . Arrival at Dar el salaam

Upon arrival at Dar el salaam, You will be met by Tanzania Tour and Safari representative. After clearance of Immigration and Customs you’ll be transferred to your city hotel for overnight at Giraffe ocean view hotel B&B.

Day 2 .Dar el salaam – Ifakara - Uduzungwa

Enjoy your early morning breakfast; you will be picked by our professionally tour guide from the hotel. Depart to Ifakara where you will arrival at around 11 pm. Visit the local village, where the lady will visit the girl she sponsor. Have the lunch in the local restaurant (carry packed lunch). Later at round 5pm, leave for Uduzungwa mountain National park, upon arrival in your lodge check inn, relax awaiting for your dinner.  Dinner and overnight at Uduzungwa mountain tented camp FB.

Day 3. Uzudungwa Mountain forest –Ifakara- Mikumi

After your breakfast in the camp. Depart to ifakara, with packed lunch so that the lady can have more time with the child. Later in the afternoon you will depart back to Uzudungwa Mountain Park enroute to Mikumi National park.  Where you will have an evening game drive.  You will view Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard etc plus enjoying natural waterfall, endemic Red Colobus Monkey and other uniquely available flora. Dinner and overnight at Mikumi wildlife camp FB.

Day 4. Mikumi National Park –Selous National Park

Start an early guided nature walk in the park; later depart to Selous National Park. Where you will arrival in time for late lunch, after lunch embark to an optional evening game drive.
Only 200 km West of Dar es Salaam lies the mighty Selous Game Reserve— the largest National Park in Africa. Four times the size of Serengeti - covering more than 5% of Tanzania's total area and larger than Switzerland. Fed by the mighty Rufiji River, the largest river in East Africa which drains most of South Western Tanzania’s water, this reserve is home to over 1,000,000 large animals and is home to over half of Tanzania’s elephant population.  Selous has over 2,100 species of plants, 350 species of birds, 60,000 elephant, 108,000 buffalos and an estimated 1,300 of the worlds’ approximately 4,000 remaining rare wild dogs giving guests an opportunity to glimpse all of these exotic animals in true un spoilt wilderness.   Dinner and overnight at Lake Manze adventure camp FB.

Day 5. Selous National Park

You will have full day exploration of the park. After breakfast choice of several activities, Walking Safari, Boat Safari or Game drive. There are large populations of elephant in the park. Approximately 70 % (60 000) of Tanzania's elephants are found in this reserve.
Other well-known animals include the hippo (40 000 inhabit the river systems), depleted numbers of the black rhino, large herds of buffalo (over 160 000), the area's famous wild dogs and 5 000 lion patrol the Reserve. Also found here are Nyasaland gnu, brindled gnu, hartebeest, Greater Kudu, sable antelope, eland, reed buck, bushbuck, waterbuck, warthog, zebras, giraffe, wildebeest, leopard and cheetah are rare.  There are over 350 species of birds including African snipe, Bateleur eagle, Crested lark, Green-headed oriole, Knob-billed duck, herons, kingfishers, geese and Southern Ground hornbill. Reptiles such as crocodiles and various snakes and lizards are also found. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manze adventure camp FB.

Day 6.  Selous National Park

After breakfast, accompany an armed ranger on a walking safari in the reserve. The sights and sounds (and smells) of a walking safari are a special treat that will live long in your memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals to “shoot” them with your camera is a great experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari (optional activities) where you will explore the different channels and lakes of the Rufiji River System, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. A large variety of herons, storks, ducks, stilts, and other water birds may be seen. And you also get to see land mammals such as giraffes and elephants.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Manze adventure camp FB.

Day 7. Selous National Park - Mafia Island

After Breakfast, have an early morning game drive, return to the Camp for your breakfast. After breakfast check out, and you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Mafia Island. Upon arrival in the Airstrip you will be transferred to your island beach hotel. Relax and enjoy the beach Dinner/Lunch and overnight at Kinasi lodge FB.

Day 8-9.Mafia Island

You will have two full days exploring the beach, swimming and relax, activities in the area. Snorkeling on the shallow reefs, sea diving, boat riding, whale and shark safaris etc. Dinner/Lunch and overnight at Kinasi lodge FB.

Day 10.Mafia Island - Dar  el salaam- depart

After breakfast in your lodge. You will be transferred to the Airstrip for a flight to Dar el salaam. Upon arrival in Dar el salaam you will be directed to your terminal for your home flight.
