Day 01. Arrive Nairobi from home
Arrival time at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport. After you have cleared with custorm You will be met by Tanzania Tour and Safaris guide and you will be transferred to your city hotel to rest and leisure. Accommodation: Sarova Stanley Hotel (BB)
Day 02.Nairobi – Samburu National reserve
After your breakfastat the hotel. At 8.30am depart to Samburu National Park. Enroute scenic viewing of coffee plantation and far view of mount Kenya. arriving in time early lunch after check inn. You will have some rest before you embark on the evening game drive in the famous Samburu game reserve, which is known for its “special 5”. If we’re lucky today you will be able to see such animals as the reticulated giraffe, gravy’s zebra, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, and baisa oryx. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 03. Full day exploring Samburu National reserve
Wake up call at 0600 am for tea or coffee with cookies in the lobby. Then we set off for the early morning game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter, the rest of the morning will be at leisure. Lunch will be served at the lodge, and in the evening, set off for the late evening game drive.
The landscape of the Samburu area is beautiful, arid and scrubby with magnificent mountains in the background. An unusual forked palm; the doum palm, grows along the banks of this river and adds striking beauty to the panorama. Wildlife is surprisingly abundant for such a dry place and includes several species, which are unique to the area such as; gerenuk gravy’s zebra, beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe and Somali ostrich. Not to be overlooked are the hundreds of species of birds to be found here. This is home to the Samburu people, “cousins” to the Maasai and the young warriors’ colorful dress and ornamentation distinguishes them from other members of the tribe. Day 04. Thu 11th Aug 2016 Samburu National reserve - Sweet water conservancy.
Morning breakfast, depart to olpajeta/ sweetwater conservancy. Enroute game drive heading to the your camp. Upon arrival check inn and have your lunch, embarking to an afternoon game drive visiting chimpanzee sanctuary in the afternoon, having enjoyed your morning game drive.Meals and overnight at Sweet Water tented camp (Full board)Day 05. Full day exploration of the conservancy, with morning and afternoon game drive.
Ol Pejeta is a mosaic of grass plains, wooded grassland, Acacia woodland and evergreen thicket extending for over 350 square kilometers. Ol Pejeta boasts an astounding variety of animals including non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five. Samburu National reserve –Lake Nakuru National Park.
Awake to the sound of marching elephants and chirping of birds. Have breakfast at your lodge. Check out and drive through the cool Rift Valley environment towards Nakuru. Drive through the park and arrive at your lodge in time for late lunch. Have an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Meals and overnight at Flamingo hill tented camp (full board)
Day 07. Full day at Lake Nakuru National Park.
Hot breakfast at the lodge, before going for morning game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax. Later in the late afternoon embark to a game spoting massion.
Nakuru is a small park with over 50% of its area covered by the Lake. Located in the middle of the Rift valley, Lake Nakuru has a wide variety of animals which includes the Rothschild giraffe, lions, white and black rhinos as well as the leopard. All these can be spotted depending on your luck. The park is also considered by birdwatchers as an ornithological paradise! A myriad of both greater and lesser flamingoes have made this lake their home. Meals and overnight at Flamingo hill tented camp (full board)
Day 08. Mon 15th Aug 2016 Lake Nakuru National Park- Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at the lodge, head southwards to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, relax. Have an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
An exploratory drive around the 1,792 sq. km game park with its low hills and savannah type rolling grasslands, gallery forest on the Mara River and its tributaries. Get introduced to the herbivores; elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the variety of antelopes, the Masai giraffe and the Burchell zebra. The carnivores are the black mane lion, cheetah and leopard. Also to be seen are the largest bird, the Masai ostrich, the Secretary bird, the crested crane and saddle-bill stork. Crocodiles and hippos share the river. Return to your lodge by sunset. Dinner and overnight at base camp mara (full board)Day 8 -11. Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will have 3 nights in mara, where you will go to see migration. You will have morning and afternoon game drives.With optional Early Morning balloon safari ride (US$450.00 per person ) across the Maasai Mara plain.
Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here; The Mara is noted for its abundance of lions – particularly the superb black maned males. See the great Migraton where over 1.5 million wildebeest and other antelopes crossing the mighty Mara River. Experience the battle between survival and hunger. You are also likely to see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as – if you're lucky leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film/tapes and enjoy yourselves! In the evening visit maasai village. Dinner and overnight at base camp mara (full board)Day 12.Maasai Mara National Reserve - Lake Naivasha.
Check out after your breakfast. Drive to Lake Naivasha sopa lodge. where you will arrive in time for lunch. Relax later depart to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride (extra cost $25 per person). After the boat ride drive back to the lodge for your dinner, relax and overnight. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (full board).
Lake Naivasha, Set in picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland next to Naivasha, the beautiful freshwater lake is fringed by thick papyrus whose waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres.Day 13. Lake Naivasha - Nairobi – Farewell depart
Wake up in the Lake Naivasha and tuck into a scrumptious breakfast at the lodge.
Sadly the time has come to bid farewell to the grand landscapes of Africa and drive back to Nairobi in the 4x4 safari vehicle. We get to the city and drive to Giraffe centre. After giraffe centre you will go to the famous carnivore restaurant for your lunch. Later dropping you off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.The Above rates include:
